Introduction – Canon SX520
The Canon SX520, a new superzoom compact camera coming from Canon. It is interesting how far we went in terms of zoom range. In the beginning superzoom camera are go as far as 480mm focal length (Full frame equivalent), today many go over 1000mm focal length. Not just the long end of the zoom range changed, but the wide end as well. Today most superzoom cameras sports with 24mm wide end, some of them even go wider than that. This wide angle is very useful, together with the usually excellent image quality here, this cameras has excellent value overall. The usual drawbacks are the tiny sensor which results in poor high iso performance compare to Dslr cameras.
