Greylag goose Anser anser
The only goose that is not coming in Hungary in winter. The biggest sized Goose specie in Europe. The size of the Greylag goose is 75-90 cm, the weight of the bird is 2.5-4kg. The wingspan of the Greylag goose is 150-180 cm. The male bird is a little bigger than the female.
Great white fronted goose
The Great white fronted goose comes to Hungary mainly in Fall migration. During flight the great white fronted goose can be identified because of the chest patterns of the birds.
Red crested porchard
The Red crested porchard is a little bigger duck. The male has relatively big and orange head. The female is not so coloured.
