HSM mean “Hypersonic focusing motor” it is a Sigma equivalent of Canon‘s USM drive

A new Art lens come from Sigma after the fantastic Sigma 18-35mm and Sigma 35mm f/1.4 lenses.
The new lens has a Full frame coverage and an aperture range of f/1.4-f/16. The lens look very well built like the new Sigma 24-105mm Art lens, which has a fantastic build quality. It is a prime lens, but it has a complex design of 15 lens elements in 11 groups. This lens seems very interesting especially for Full frame shooters. The 24mm focal lenght is a very useful range in Full frame, best for landscapes, architecture and general photography as well. The new Sigma 35mm 1.4 Art lens has many exotic lens elements, which is according to Sigma corrects vignetting, and chromatic aberrations of the lens. The lens has special coating as well to reduce flare effects. The lens construction contains TSC material (Thermally stable composit) used before in Sigma Art lenses. The wide f/1.4 aperture helps to isolate the background for artistic reasons. The new lens will be available in Canon EF, Nikon F and Sigma SA mounts.
