Nikon 20mm 1.8

Introduction – Nikon 20mm f1.8

The new Nikon 20mm f1.8 is quite an interesting lens. On Full frame it is a wide angle lens, on Aps-C is similar as the 35mm lens on a FF camera, which is ideal as a one lens walk around solution. The f/1.8 aperture also helps to make pictures in low light environment as well. The lens has quite close 20cm minimal focus distance which together with the f/1.8 aperture helps to make pictures with nice, blurred background. The lens has 7 aperture blades. The lens is sharp wide open already. The only real drawback is the price which is little high for many people. The lens has internal focusing and non rotating front lens element. The lens has near silent SWM focusing motor.
