Nikon lenses

Last Update: 29/10/2016
The aim with these tables of Nikon lenses and third party lenses below to collect the lenses for Nikon camera system in one place in order to overview them more easily. I list third party lenses as well, not just the native Nikon Nikkor lenses. I put theses lenses in separate tables by brands. Obviously it takes some time to collect the lenses together.

Nikon Dx lenses only for crop sensor cameras

These lenses listed below in the table in the upper region of the page only can be used on Nikon crop sensor cameras and on Full frame cameras in Dx mode. Other lenses below with Full frame compatibility can be used on Nikon Full frame and crop sensor cameras as well. The prices listed here are not offers, doesn’t show the cheapest possible prices, only to have an idea about the cost of the lenses as well for consideration.

nikon lenses az 1
Nikon 10.5mm f/2.8G ED fisheye
DX No filters / Gelatine 305 g
(10.8 oz.)
775 USD/590 EUR/215,000 HUF Not a very common lens/sometimes back ordered
Nikon 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5G ED DX 77 mm 460 g
(16.2 oz.)
779 USD/593 EUR/248,000 HUF A very good lens, but too expensive, the Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 is a better bargain

Nikon 16-80mm f/2.8-4E Ed Vr

DX 72mm 480g (16.93 o.z) 1070 USD the new version of the popular 16-85mm

Nikon 16-85mm f/3.5-5.6 review

DX 67mm 485g (17 o.z) 629 USD / 549 EUR / 168,000 HUF A very good value lens, effective vr, fast autofocus
Nikon 17-55mm f/2.8G ED-IF AF-S review DX 77 mm 755g (26.31 oz.) 1400 USD /1200 EUR, 387,000 HUF A very good, sharp but heavy and expensive Dx lens
Nikon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 vr review DX 52 mm 265g (9.35 o.z) 119 USD / 91.28 EUR / 33,000 HUF A very good lens for the cheap price
Nikon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 vr II DX 52 mm 265g (9.35 o.z) 119 USD / 91.28 EUR / 33,000 HUF A very good lens for the cheap price
Nikon 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6 review DX 67 mm 420g (14.81 oz) 397 USD / 189 EUR / 59,700 HUF A very good range, nice quality, but better at the long end, at wide end the 18-55 vr or the 16-85 vr is better, overall very good quality / convenience for the price
Nikon 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6 ED VR DX 67 mm 487 g / 17.2 oz 600 USD / 340 EUR/ 140,000 HUF Not a bad lens, convenient range, effective stabilizer
Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 ED VR II DX 72 mm 560g / 19.8 oz 597 USD /619 EUR/ 213,000 HUF very expensive, for what it is, I prefer the 16-85 over this lens, obviously the weakest at long end, for 200mm I use telephoto lenses with much better quality, 18mm is not really wide
Nikon 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3G ED VR DX 77 mm 830g (29.77 oz) 997 USD / 767 EUR / 208,000 HUF A superzoom lens with lots of compromising, big, expensive, lots of distortion, weak 300mm. I would buy the Tamron 16-300mmm instead for playing.
Nikon AF-S DX 35mm f/1.8 review DX 52mm 200g (7.05 oz) 197 USD/ 168 EUR/ 56,000 HUF The best value lens for the entire Nikon lineup.
Micro Nikkor 40mm f/2.8G AF-S DX 52 mm 235g (8.3 oz) 277 USD/ 215 EUR/ 68,000 HUF Not the best focal length for Macro, I prefer to be at least 60mm, otherwise excellent optics
Micro Nikkor 85mm f/3.5G ED VR DX 52 mm 355g (12.52 oz) 527 USD/ 419 EUR/ 142,000 HUF Not bad lens but I prefer f/2.8 over f/3.5 for better bokeh, Sigma, Tamron, Tokina has very strong, better lenses at 90 and 105mm at f/2.8 for the same price, with Full frame coverage
Nikon 55-200mm f/4.5-5.6 VR DX 52 mm 335g (11.8 oz) 247 USD/ 160 EUR/ 55,000 HUF Quite good lens for the price
Nikon 55-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR DX 52 mm 530g / 18.7 oz 400 USD/ 250 EUR/ 110,000 HUF I would not buy these types of lenses if you are after 300mm quality.

Older lenses for Nikon FX and DX cameras

There are extreme amount of these lenses from 6mm to 2000mm focal length. We list just some interesting/unique ones.
With these lenses compatibity (autofocus, metering) with newer camera bodies are not guaranteed. It can happen that the camera cannot even make a picture. Aperturewise some lenses only works wide open. Better to ask before try, in order to not have problem with the camera afterwards. Most lens doesn’t autofocus with entry level cameras like the Nikon D3xxx, Nikon D5xxx series.

I intend to collect the most interesting lenses with better performance or value.
