Above tables shows Nikon’s finest Digital Single Reflex Camera’s comparison available today. Most of the above Nikon Reflex cameras has dual memory Card slots.

Nikon d4s

Seems the Nikon d4s is a flagship low light Nikon Dslr today with a very good high iso performance only bettered by slight margin the Nikon Df.
Compare to the older D4 model the difference is not huge, perhaps except for video.

Nikon d800/Nikon d800E

are the finest high resolution Full Frame Dsrl camera available today, even medium format cameras hardly can beat it. Between the D800/D800E the difference is the AA filter has been omitted in the Nikon D800E model. This on paper increase sharpness, but makes more prone the camera to moire patterns. The d800e is sharper, but smaller size the difference is not so obvious. Both camera has wide dynamic range, excellent high Iso capability, 36 Mpixel resolution, HD video mode.

Nikon d4

is also a very fine camera with little less dynamic range, and colour depth, lot less resolution but better high iso capability and significantly faster burst mode(11 vs 4 frame per seconds) compare to the Nikon d800/d800E. The disadvantage is the files are huge, and only 36Mpix images recorded.

Nikon Df

The Nikon Df is a retro-styled FF Dslr camera without video function. It has the best measured low light performance among Nikon FF dslr cameras.

Nikon d600

is a very nice camera and perhaps has the best price/performance ratio if we don’t compare the Nikon d700 used – this camera has excellent value because lot smaller and lighter than the other cameras but compare to the Nikon d800/D800E, the biggest difference is 24/36 Mpixel resolution which is not really significant in most cases.

Nikon d3 X

perhaps not the best choice today with it’s high price, and little outdated specifications.

Nikon d700

is perhaps the best value camera used. This camera is still very good if someone has not a budget for the other Full Frame models, this modell is an excellent value used.

Nikon d7100

is the current flagship DX model. Much cheaper than the Full Frame modells, and has also very good picture quality, it’s pictures very usable even in Iso 6400. The Nikon d7100 has improved autofocus performance, omit the AA filter as the D800E, Has 24 Mpix resolution which is the smallest pixels from all this models. The camera has a 1.3 crop mode for little extra reach.
